We don’t want to fail, and we’re afraid that our friends and family may think less of us. Maybe we’ve judged others for failing and are fearful that what they say about karma is true.

Instead of fearing failure or seeing it as a negative, I’ve decided to treat any failures as a lesson. I don’t want to live a life full of regret. There are many things I wish I had done differently, but I know that if I made those choices, my life would be completely different.

If you’ve been putting off doing something because you’re afraid of failing, consider what you can do to minimize your chances of failing. It’s one thing to fail when you haven’t prepared or planned ahead, and it’s different when you’ve done all you can, and things don’t work out.

My husband and I are relocating to a new country. We don’t have any family there, but it’s where we want to be. I’m grateful to be with someone who is the opposite of me. I still sometimes worry about what will happen if things go wrong, but he is fearless. His faith in a higher power doesn’t allow him to doubt if things are happening as they should.

He is one of those people who don’t believe failure is an option. Even when things don’t look like they are going how we’d like, he always finds a silver lining that puts my mind at ease.

I think I was more fearless when I was younger (aren’t we all?). I’m working on deprogramming myself and healing from the perceived failures of the past. I’m excited to see where life takes me in this next chapter of my life.

As we head into the next half of the year, I will approach everything I do with the mindset that failure isn’t a possible outcome.
